as this year comes to a close, i can’t help but think about everything that’s happened to me over the past 36 weeks. when i first came to depaul, honestly i hated it. i put a smile on and made it sound like i loved where i was so that my friends and family didn’t worry, but i honestly thought about transferring so many times. the thing that saved me and the thing that continues to make me so happy that i decided to stay is my sorority.
alpha omicron pi has only been in my life since late september, but it’s already changed me so much, for the better. i couldn’t imagine living life without these girls now. my chapter is made up of some of the most intelligent, talented, driven, funny, and sassy girls i’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. i cherish each and every one of them and i love them all so much. although this is only my first year, i can tell that a life with alpha omicron pi will be so much better than a life without it. my sisters are my rocks who i know i can depend on at school while away from my home and my best friends from high school. i’m so excited to see myself and my chapter grow.
